No pick until the 70's. The future of their team is in jeopardy. Bill must want to retire soon.

They'll be at the bottom of the division within the next three years.

Kraft dies. Bellichek gets to host the old Regis and Kathy Lee show.

Payton drafts all of LSU.

Yeah, I am sure no free agents are interested in playing in the Super Bowl.

Brady has 2 years left. They are making a run for 2 years and then they will blow it up.

I suspect their draft class this year will still outperform the Saints'

if the pats never win another title their franchise is ahead of almost every other one ever. They're going all in on the next 2-3 years with tom and prob win another one at least. Smart move.

They aren't going all in. Christ, we have 2 WRs under contract after next year (three now that Cooks is in the fold). Bill is historically bad at drafting WRs, and this will offset Edelman probable decline.

not sure if serious. As long as they have Goropollo and Bill or McDaniels, they won't blow up anything. They have an excellent foundation.

I like how you act like they just gave away two picks. The thing is, THEN GOT COOKS. Obviously they value him highly. He'll probably be an all pro playing for the pats.

The order of these events are likely.

Let's all remember that the Pats "rebuilding years" were essentially 2009-12...their record was 10-6 wild card loss with Brady 1 yr removed from ACL, 14-2 Divisional loss, SB loss with a historically bad defense, and an AFC title loss with a ton of rookies.

During this time Belichick purged nearly the entire roster of the glory days of the early-mid 00's personell, filled the defense with a bunch of stop gap guys and failed to draft any quality receivers besides Edelman who had not yet fully emerged.

Belichick never "blows it up." I still think the they keep Jimmy G for 2 more yrs and then let Brady retire or walk. He will never be left without a QB again. He had his entire Cleveland career and a 5-13 pre Brady record in NE to learn his lesson on that position.
