I'm not a golfer, and I honestly don't know anything about this cat, but wouldn't the camera guy's actions be considered bad form? I mean, even if Reed is a total douche, why in the hell would a camera guy feel like it's appropriate to do that?
Perhaps he could have politely asked him to stop, and saved the tongue-lashing for subsequent transgressions. Who knows if this was the first of the camera crew's infractions though?

He accidentally had change jingle in his pocket. Just ask him nicely to stay still or take it out.
Every tournament golfers politely ask patrons and cameramen for things like that. It’s very common and not a big deal.

I’ll cheer for our country, yes.
And I’ve played plenty of golf with Patrick in high school FWIW and know a couple of his UGA teammates. He’s been a prick his entire life. He’s not misunderstood, some people are just pricks. He gets it from his travel baseball-esque dad.

Did nobody watch Jordan the other day?
He had a VERY personal moment and called out EVERYONE around him.
Then hit a horrible looking shot while being in a bad position after his own doing.
Nobody cared and it was WAY worse than what Pat did here.
