It's a done deal. Soto and Bell to Padres. CJ Abrams and a haul of prospects to Nats.

Sad day as a Nats fan. Soto my favorite player. Soto, Tatis, and Machado...dang San Diego.

They can add to their lineup all they want. I don’t think they have the pitching to make a deep run.

Yeah, teams have won it all with worse rotations than that.

They can put Clevinger or Manaea in the bullpen during the postseason too.

Padres are still 11/1 to win the WS on FanDuel. Load up on that number and hedge when the time comes.

I’m not saying that they can’t, it was just my opinion. Besides, I like seeing the downvotes rain sometimes.

That seems underwhelming unless Trent Grisham is the other major league player.

It's been confirmed it's Eric Hosmer.

Hos has a 10 team no trade clause and the Nats are one of them. If this dude doesn't waive his clause it could blow up the whole thing

This as large a package of young talent as you’re going to realistically get in a single trade I think. It’s hard to see how they could have done much better, taking back Hosmer isn’t great obviously. It sounded like STL didn’t want to include Carlson, him/Walker/Winn/Liberatore is the only deal I think you could argue would top this

Snell has been below average to bad most of the year, and Manaea has been regressing. Now they give up Gore. It's kind of a strange move, to me. I figured they'd just sell the farm instead of giving up major league assets.

No way they aren't upping the ante to make me go to Washington. And by a lot.

When your team dumps a Harper/Soto, dark times ahead. Baseball may be the worst sport to follow if your team has shitty management.

If Hosmer won't agree, Wil Myers will replace him in the trade.

I am just glad the Rangers were not involved. Their farm system is just now starting to not be horrible.
