OU Campus, I often wonder why kids want to go there.
Posted by DeafVallyBatnR on 1/7/20 at 1:40 pm4711
So I was visiting a project in Oklahoma that we had going on. As I am coming through OKC I decided to look for the campus. I had no idea where it was I just new it was close. Well I found it and it was in a small community/Neighborhood and now I know why. That place is perfect setting for a major college campus. It was very nice.

my gf is an OU grad and I hate being drug up there.
Shitty drive from Dallas and it takes like a case of beer to get any kind of a buzz.
ETA: they also closed the Chimy’s there which was the one redeeming quality of the city.

Now imagine what you would think if you drove down HIGHLAND from downtown. Nicholson is the "nice" route from downtown

You could always get full-strength beer instead of 3.2 in liquor stores, but it would be room temperature.
That’s why God made ice.
(I think the beer thing has been normalized, though.)

Are any college campuses really in "desirable" locations?
and Im talking the big colleges with great fan bases in big conferences.
I feel like all the college towns are either in the middle of nowhere or in shitty cities.

You went to a school located in a city so awful the rich side told it to frick off and formed it's own town.

Athens GA is like 45-60 mins from ATL depending on traffic. Is that really out in the middle of nowhere?
Also, Stanford, UCLA, Cal etc etc

Vandy in Nashville is pretty cool. I'm not sure I've ever seen the Vandy campus, but I do enjoy my time in Nashville.
Knoxville is ok.
Been to BR for a game but didn't really venture too far from the stadium.had a good time.
Gainesville sucks.
Fayetteville and NWA is a beautiful part of the country. Too cold for my blood though.
The Rose Bowl is cool but I think UCLA is in Brentwood. Awesome but expensive.

Is Madison actually desirable?
Or just a college town?
Like whats the main city to live and work in in Wisconsin?
Don't a lotta grads leave madison and work in chicago?
My guess/assumption with colleges and their towns.
Get in and then get out after you graduate.
