One could argue the XFL has already cost Vince close to $100M in just 5 months

I thought you might find it interesting to know how much Vince has technically lost on the XFL so far.

Last year he put $100M of his own money into the XFL. He did that by selling 3,340,000 shares on Dec 20, 2017 at $28.68 per share for a value of $95,791,200.

With WWE stock closing today at $57.86, had those shares still been invested in WWE, they would be worth $193,252,400.

A missed opportunity of $97,461,200. One could argue the XFL has already cost Vince close to $100M in just 5 months before it's even started.

McMahon's decision to try to bring back the XFL is downright self destructive in nature. What a hard headed SOB.

I am shocked that the WWF is a publicly traded company.

Will they at least force Fox into a XFL partnership with the Smackdown deal?

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying

I mean it's certainly premature to say it was a bad call because we haven't seen how the XFL is going to do, but it would really surprise me if it becomes a worthwhile investment for Vince.

Vince is really rich, but that is still 4 or 5 percent of his net worth.

Vince is 72 with years of physical toll and steroid abuse. He can't have that many years left.

It's not like he'll ever be hard up for money. This is just a vanity project for him.

XFL is partially responsible for the increased value of the stock.

And if it fails...again...it's not gonna hurt his brand.

It's just another info-commercial for the new generation who might just watch football.

It's just a small investment for WWE brand to stay popular and relevant. Keep it in the mainstream.

If it works, it's news, if it fails, it's news. But people are talking about it on ESPN.
