I don't think I've ever seen someone get this mad. Even LSU fans after the NC weren't as mad as Fox is right now

oh, LSU isn't a top 15 all time program...yeah crazy.

Les Miles is a shitty gameday coach...pretty sure LSU fans deep down think so. Alot of excitement when the arkansas rumors started flying.

Sorry but the data that DS provided about LSU's "All Time" record and what Les Miles has accomplished in his 8 years outweigh your opinion as well as the opinion of any LSU fan who happens to agree with you about Miles. Wins and losses on the field are not determined subjectively. In bith cases the numbers don't lie.

it doesn't matter, just because those are the wins do not mean he is doing a great job. How many wins would an urban meyer or a nick saban have with those teams, how many more titles? The talent is there because Saban built that program, les has managed not to drive it in the ground. admirable.

yeah he left for a crappy dolphins team because that is a step up the ladder, then he left for bama because that is a step up the ladder from the dolphins

bama is two steps up from LSU. Do you really think had he not left for the NFL, he wouldn't have left for a bama or texas type gig?

No one mentioned LSU and you brought up the NC game out of the blue. Yeah. You are mad.

can i be tommy bowden? he's way better than les miles

before DS takes that one to heart, I am joking. You have to tell people when you're playing around because then they get too serious and will never believe you're joking.

LSU fans were shitting on tulane (first page) so I obviously went 5 steps ahead and tried to get them riled up. Didn't work, 2 days later this gets bumped and I guess it worked.

I know a few kids on the xc team this year. I hope the new coach does what the old coach didn't.

We get it. You hate the guy that took Saban's 9-3 team and went 11-2, 11-2 and 12-2 and a NC. He then lost his starting 5* QB and rebuilt a team that went 8-5 with 2 freshman QB's into a team that was more dominating than any Saban coached teamand returned to the NC game. He sucks. We get it.

I'm sure he's just going to try to keep himself busy until indoor track starts. LSU doesn't care about cross country.

saban went 9-3 switching between a freshman who had enough talent to be the #1 overall pick and a nobody who he felt earned a chance. you assholes are now saying miles did more than saban for LSU?

2 straight years as I recall

there it is, I love that jealousy. Bama is a dynasty. LSU is a bedazzled little turd that eeked out a 2 loss title

I doubt KD will bring the same lame coaching style as Elliott. I'd expect him to want to get those guys better.

Also, Shaver cares about the 1500 and up about as much as XC so either way KD needs to step up if those kids want to make a conference impact haha.

Are we talking about the same Urban Meyer that went 7-5 in his last season at UF? A record worse than any record Miles ever had at LSU in the most talent-rich state in the nation? Are we talking about the same Nick Saban who lost home games to UAB and ULM? He's so much better than Miles who has NEVER lost a non-conference game while at LSU more less to 2 shite programs like that.

before I hit the road, do you think Miles > Saban

do you think miles is as good of a coach as saban?

do you think miles is in the same stratosphere as Saban?

No

Yes

Yes

I think Saban has done a better job of hiring offensive assistants than Miles and been a whole lot luckier the past 2 years. LSU is quite possibly a a missed Okie State FG in 2011 and a failed 3rd down conversion against Bama in 2012 from turning 2 of Bamas NC's into LSU NC's.

Not sticking up for anyone in this thread, but I think LSU fans are delusional if they think they are a top 10 national program in the history of CFB.

While what has happened in the last 10 years is impressive, football has played out a lot longer than since 2003.

A list of impressive programs through the last 100 years:

1. Michigan
2. Ohio State
3. Bama
4. FSU
5. USC
6. Texas
7. Notre Dame
8. Miami
9. Florida
10. Nebraska
10 b. Oklahoma
10 c. Penn State

All these teams have left more of an entire legacy on cfb than LSU can claim in just truly having one decade of relative success.

I know the Bayou Bengals are proud of their team, and you should be!!! I am not diminishing that.

But the bottom line is you are the red-headed step child. You have no natural rival-- they tried to invent one with Arky quite frankly to no avail-- but still there is not a real one. Ole Miss, Bama-- not a true time-tested rivalry, and geographically is not traditional in just that respect.

LSU needs more of a track record of success. Outside of the last decade, what has LSU really done consistently? In a century of football???

I truly believe this is why LSU fans hate USC so much. Because after years of misery, they had to share the spotlight. With a team, quite frankly in 2003, that would have beaten LSU.

I hope for continued success for the Tigers. But you are not to the ELITE level of football programs just yet. Continued success can elevate. That is what anyone vested in LSU wishes for.

Good luck...
