It's a meaningless term. Look how often it gets tossed out on this board alone.

This is a shitty article based on something that some random user posted. It holds as much weight as picking a post in a Tigerdroppings thread, especially one that the writer knows will get people worked up.

This is not a widely held opinion by anyone who matters in track and field, as Noah Lyles (one of the biggest stars in track) was pretty much in shock over taking a photo with Johnson after breaking his US 200 meter record earlier in the week.

And Johnson gave an interview to NBC where he said he was fine with his records being broken by the athletes who had posted the better times. This was basically his way of saying that Lyles, Wayde van Niekirk, and Usian Bolt were clean by his standards.

Sounds like Johnson is carefully saying something about the 100 hurdles race although he can deflect and say it’s about timing rather than PEDs.

It used to be when you were called a racist when arguing with a liberal, you had won the argument.

Now, being called a racist means you are speaking the truth, and the person calling you it doesnt want to hear it.

Can people not just use slow-mo and perfectly record the times to see if they’re right?

I’m sure the Oregon people can, as well as maybe some IAAF employees

I don’t see how the average fan can get the difference between 12.06 and 12.16.

That’s how you get apocryphal stories about 4.0 40 yard dashes from the 80s.

This is the world we live in...everything is racist even when it's not racist.

No one can agree to disagree or even have a debate.

Dave Barry 30 years ago jokingly wrote: "How to win an Argument Everytime."

And one of his joking points was (no longer a far-fetched joke now)...
quote:

1) Compare your opponent to Adolf Hitler.

This is your heavy artillery, for when your opponent is obviously right and you are spectacularly wrong. Bring Hitler up subtly. Say: ``That sounds suspiciously like something Adolf Hitler might say'' or ``You certainly do remind me of Adolf Hitler.''

Well we saw that farce taken for face value and adopted by Trump's opponents.

Same goes for bringing up racism...the last refuge of a scoundrel who is spectacularly wrong.

If people in today's society disagree with you, they don't attack the substance of what you said...like children, they close their eyes, cover their ears and say..."nah, nah, nah, nah, nah" when you try to explain your viewpoint.

And then call you racist and walk away.

I'm way more interested in his thoughts on the time discrepancies, seems like a big deal.
