They've gotten the benefit of the doubt more than anyone other than Bama in the modern era (2003 and 2008 come to mind, but they've gotten in the BCS title or the playoff every time they've finished with one loss). As much as I hate Bama, they've at least made good on their second chances.

I hope they show up in force for the Peach bowl. Ticket prices are plummeting. I love when there's a huge out of conference matchup between powerhouse programs. I'll be disappointed if they're discouraged and stay home because they've been beaten the last two years.

My only issue is they claim a fake conference title from 1918 when the SWC didn’t have a champ. They also still claim 1972 even though it was stripped by the Big 8 for cheating.
