wrlakers or anyone else - any opinions on my team from a few posts up?
Posted on 10/22/08 at 2:44 pm to longtimelurker
Johnson, Slaton, and Burress IMHO

quote:I think I'm going to skip on Smith. I want to play Moore anyway. If I hear that Parker is fine, then I'll just play Morris. I don't think Smith is a big enough improvement over Morris to warrant jeopardizing my waiver wire priority right now. I have to pick up a kicker and a defense next week and a lot of people are dropping decent kickers and defenses now because of bye weeks.
I just don't see Morris getting it done with Jones in there at Seattle

I hear ya. I may end up[ starting McClain over Smith. McClain gets a lot of goal line touches

quote:It is too hard when you don't put the watch ups. How can you resist Slaton v. Cincinnati after the Bengals made Mewelde Moore look like Emmitt Smith? Johnson v. Colts D is a must start, as is Portis v. the Lions. I don't have time to check you WR match ups. I have to work.
any opinions on my team from a few posts up?

Thanks
WR Matchups:
Burress (Q) @ Pitt
Breaston @ Carolina
Harrison @ Tenn
Desean Jackson @ Atl
We get points for return yards (I think 1 per 10 yards) so Breaston and Jackson could benefit from that.

Schaub or Warner??

I am having question marks about Favre as my starting QB. Who should I pick up to replace him for the last half of the year: Orton, Ryan, Bulger, oSullivan ...

Orton....I picked him up 4 weeks ago and he throws up straight numbers

Deuce vs San Diego, McFadden vs Baltimore, or Fred Taylor vs Cleveland?

Damn, guys...another odd week for me. Any help would be appreciated.
1. Garcia @ Dallas or Matt Ryan @ Philly
2. I have the following @ RB
Turner @ Philly
Morris vs StL (not sure if he is healthy)
Addai @ Ten (out)
Mewelde Moore vs NYG (any word on Parker)
D Rhodes @ Ten
Note: I do have Driver (bye) that I can drop for Fred Taylor - or should I drop one of the fill ins from above or neither? Need to start 2. Thanks again

Start Schaub.. Warner is facing the 2nd ranked pass defense in the NFL..

quote:Orton is off this week, but he's the only good option. O'Sullivan may not be full time if the team doesn't start winning. Look for his understudy (Shaun Hill) to steal snaps if J.T. can't hold onto the ball. Ryan is a solid QB, but not a solid fantasy star. Just not putting up the numbers you'll need to compete. Bulger may or may not pan out, but that's a big question mark. Thus, Orton is the only real alternative.
Orton, Ryan, Bulger, oSullivan ...

quote:I have MJD, so I'm hoping Taylor doesn't have a big day. In this group, you've got to sit McFadden. I think the Deuce option is interesting though. How much will the team rely on him with Bush out? On the other hand, Portis racked up some pretty good stats against the Browns last week. Let us know what you decide.

quote:I agree with Poker Champ that Burress and Jackson are the best options, except that I'd play Breaston if it ends up that Boldin is not going to play.
