It would be tedious and financially impractical to try and get split money.
Books are gamblers too. I love seeing them take a position on a game. I'm not even betting this year (too busy) but I still love following the lines and money.
Sure. They'll take juice on some games, but they're the house. They can take a big risk for big reward.

I mean if 55% of the time I win $10 million and the other 45% of the time I lose $10 million...I wonder how I'd operate my business.
And then use that same model over 100s and 100s of games.
And to them its not even a risk. They "know" they'll get it right the majority of the time. I'd guess 60%.

50/50 $ chop without ever having to move off of a # is realistically impossible. I couldn't believe I had a multitude of people arguing with me.

It's fairly obvious when you think about it. But people just want to keep repeating the mantra they've heard all their life.

I had this argument on the MSB often within the last couple of years; there were multiple people staunchy arguing that "Vegas doesn't take risk" and "they're solely in it to collect juice".
The most simplistic way to put it is that books just want as much action on each game as possible. They win because most people suck at money management. If you win 10 grand they know you aren't going to take it and remodel your house and not bet again, you're going to use it to gamble more and usually increasing your limits.

Added the Fighting Irish +3
Why are so many people on Stanford? I'll take the better QB, homefield and 3 points.
