most of my friends that bet can't grasp the concept of wasting value

Glad someone else in here gets it. It chaps my arse when I see someone tease down to 0 or -0.5...or even crossing the zero to a +1. People don't understand that they are just wasting value

i don't even like to tease past 3 unless its to -2.5 but crossing 0 is just idiotic

Both bad numbers. The idea of teasing is to cross key numbers. By teasing all the way to 12, you are wasting 2 points as 10 would probably be the number I would stop at. Same with LSU, 18 is a terrible number. IF I had to tease that game I wouldn't want to go past 20 as 19 and 18 aren't key numbers. I'd probably go all the way to 13.5

Sadly, I think you just taught me something about teasing

So if I tease 2 teams, I have essentially 12 points to use in a 2 team teaser? It doesnt have to be 6 and 6, can be 2 and 10 for examply?

Only have 1 year of experience, still a rookie Thanks

I agree for the most part, but if someone is favored by 6 and you want to include them in a 6pt teaser with other games you like, you have to take them down to 0...no choice. You might be losing value, but if the line isnt moving, there's nothing you can do about that value.

opened at -2.5 and immediately crossed the key number of -3 within minutes.

The opening line was Pitt -2:

What numbers do you consider key? 3, 7, 10, and what else?

Nope, it has to be 6 and 6.

Correct.

I hate teasers, fwiw.

ETA: I guess I was wrong. I'd never done that, but I thought it was an option.

naaa bruh i wish it were like that
you get 6 pts per game either way you want it
for example saints are favored by 8.5
you can either tease it down to 2.5 or take skins + 14.5
same goes for the other game you would pick
tots and i were just saying not to tease a game that for instance lsu favored by 3 vs bama. if you took lsu it would be lsu +3.. it would be much better to take bama +9..

Teasers get a bad rap IMO. I don't rely on them but you can get some great value if you tease correctly.

Also, when people use them as 10 team teasers, it's just as bad as parlaying. Sucker bet. Stick to smart, value based teases and you can be successful.

Noo, it does have to be 6 each. However, you should only look for games to tease where the number will land or just go 0.5 past a key number. The main get numbers are 3, 7, 14. 10, 13, 17, 21 are also decent numbers to target

-2.5 winning by field goal wins bet
-6.5 winning by td wins bet
-9.5 win by 10 wins bet
-13.5 winning by 2 tds wins bet

+7.5 losing by a td wins bet
+10.5 losing by 10 wins bet
+14.5 losing by 2 tds wins bet
+17.5 losing by 17 wins bet

these are typical scores in football games that is why you shoot for these numbers when teasing

The problem with them is that they look like Free Money on paper. Like "how could this ever not hit?"

I rarely mess with them. But they're definitely better in football than basketball. They're useless in basketball.

This is the explanation I was in need of. That definitely learned me something. Thanks again.

Exactly...don't bet it. I just can't stand throwing extra money at the bookie for him to give me nothing of value
