I'm excited, but this thread is way too early for me.

Although, putting some big money down on LSU O8.5 regular season wins is very tempting to me.

I've just got futures bets placed so far.

Ole Miss Under 8.5 wins (-170)
Braxton Miller to win the Heisman +900
LSU +1 @ Ole Miss

Im tempted to lay down on Bama under win total.

Bama loses a game, I win money.
Bama goes undefeated, I am happy about an undefeated season.

Pretty tempting to me as well. I usually don't bet LSU win totals because of my bias.

Crosse some key numbers.

Teasers get a bad rep around some places but I've had some great success crossing key numbers.

teasers are good if you pick your spots. i personally prefer them for the nfl, as points are at a premium. in college, teams routinely score in the 30s 40s and 50s, so the 6 or 7 pts you get on a teaser arent as valuable.

I've been waiting for this thread.

$20 per week and I'll give my picks so you can fade them. After last year, we all know this is a bargain.

Don't want to pay? I'll tail your bets.

You're move MSB

Key numbers in college are different than in NFL

Key numbers in college:

0, 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31, 35, 42, 49

Teasers are more dangerous when you are taking heavy favorite downward.

They are more sucessful when giving an underdog more points.

If you take a team down from -28 to -22 not much is being accomplished as that is not even 25% decrease. But taking a favorite from -10 to -4 is better because that is a 60% decrease.

Giving a dog more points is better.

Crossing the zero is not as bad in college as it is in the NFL.

And of course never tease totals

I know people may not take what I say seriously bc of my "track record", but I seriously learned a LOT last year.

To the new bettors, here are three very important pieces of advice that I learned last year:

1) Bet NUMBERS, not TEAMS. (Take time to go read up on "key numbers" in sports betting for football)

2) You have the biggest edge against vegas any time you want it: staying away. Don't force a bet if the line isn't what you want/need it to be. You have the power to keep your money.

3) Kind of ties in with #2. BE PATIENT. Sometimes it's beneficial to wait closer til game time to get the line you want (or get a more valuable line). If it goes a different way before you bet, you lose nothing.

Prior to putting money into 5dimes, anyone use bookmaker? Used it 2 years ago until they upped their minimum to $100. I can afford that now, so I want to know if I should go back or not. They were awesome. I was able to check team history as well as head-to-head history between teams, among other things. They call me now and then from Miami asking me to come back, but I don't bet year round, so I had no need.

And I just checked, I took LSU -6.5 months ago, not 4.5. Still think its good, but pissed I didn't get the 4.5. Oh we'll.

5dimes is the only betting site I've used. I have zero complaints. Their customer service hasn't given me any reason to go elsewhere.

I haven't tried their blackjack. Did you wind up losing because you couldn't stop playing, or because you just never won (felt rigged)?
