Minor, I think you know that. Guess I should have said, two seasons ago but I assumed you knew what I meant.

According to a source, the Orioles have been unsuccessful so far in their attempts to trade Jonathan Villar prior to Monday night's non-tender deadline. Villar isn't a lock to be non-tendered if he's not traded, though that is a distinct possibility.

Yes. His 2018 was average, but it was his first season back in the rotation and he improved a lot last year.

He may suck arse this season. Who knows, he is a guy that may have a Keuchel’esque trajectory in regards to both being LHP that live on the corners.

Others may not take this into account, but he also has to play the Angels and Astros who are RH hitter heavy with great players. In another division, with slightly lesser competition he would be even better.

The whole point is he an ace, you said you trusted him and pointed towards he and Lynn finishing in the top 8 of the CY Young award. He is what he is, he wouldn't be better since the Astros are the only decent team he faces. He pitched 5 games against the Angels with a 3.98 ERA. He had a 3.19 ERA against teams that finished under .500 and a 4.00 ERA on teams that finished above .500. He is a solid 2 or 3 not an ace by any means.

Cubs wants Merrifield bad

Seems to be picking up more steam. The only problem is I think they have to give up either Alzolay or Hoerner plus some other throw-ins. As much as he would help the Cubs, do you give that up for a guy who's 31?

I'm probably the only one that thinks this, but I wouldn't give up either.

Alzolay will be needed soon with the aging rotation/bad bullpen and Hoerner did really well right out of the gate.

I figured the Cubs would give from their MLB team and the a prospect or three... Like Addison Russell along with one prospect close to MLB and in the top 15 of the club and other two low players to fill depth but have potential.

How many teams have a legit ace (Cole, Verlander, Scherzer, etc)? Not many.

You expect me to take your opinion seriously but say the A’s aren’t a decent team?

Sale, DeGrom, Greinke, Kershaw, Ryu, Castillo, Severino (when healthy) Bauer I would consider all of those "aces" possibly even Thor, Nola, Berrios, Flarety, Soroka

The A's are as they've won 97 games in consecutive years. But you mentioned the Angels and Astros so I went with them but he faced them 3 times last year with a 9.56 ERA and twice the year before with a 1.64 ERA. So essentially 5 games 27 innings 15 runs allowed.

Yankees are expected to call up Devi Garvia, Clarke Schmidt, and Michael King next year. I hope one becomes a second ace since Abreu and Loisiaga have faltered due to injuries

Is Clint Frazier going to be an every day guy for y’all next year or is he still on the outside?

That's kind of what I'm seeing too. A David Bote type player, Alzolay, and 2 lower prospects. My feelings won't be hurt if we ship out David Bote.

I believe he gets traded, Yankees go with Judge, Stanton, Tauchman, and Gardner to start the year and then Hicks when healthy. They may bring back Maybin as well.

Frazier and Cessa I believe are traded
