I figured LA would have announced a firing as soon as possible. Not that he deserves it, I really don't know, but that window has to be closing and the pressure is on. Maddon is out there right now. He'd probably flip if the Dodgers called him.

Thankfully the window is nowhere near from even beginning to start closing. Have to get Friedmans extension done and then have a honest discussion on what happened last night and how the team can ensure that never happens again and what that means for roberts

Man idk. Roberts has a whole lot of accolades to his managerial record. You can bet a bunch of the other open teams would be beating down his door to hire him.

But I think it might be a bit of a Maddon situation. Respect what he's done but time for a change. The MLB playoffs are of course a crapshoot but after 4 straight division titles, 3 straight NLCS, 2 straight World Series, franchise record for wins and no world series title... you start to wonder if things will get stale under his leadership.

How does he rally the players to keep trying to get better after all that and not lose hope?

It's not that they lost, its how we lost. For the first time, its unarguable that Roberts blew the game last night. I just dont know how you can overcome that. He will get through this winter but will most likely be managing for his job next year which he'll only keep if we win the WS

Should this thread be titled "Where do we go as MLB fans now?"

Don't you guys have a good bit of people to secure for 2020?

Looking at this Hill, Ryu, and Martin seem to be the big pieces hitting FA.

Lots more in arbitration. I am sure yall have the money.

We are going to bring back everyone we want whose in arbitration, thankfully we have the money

Only major free agent who is questionable is ryu and even then, we have multiple internal options to take his spot

The only real question we have going forward is how we get past roberts decisions last night and how to retool the bullpen. And technically we still need to lock Friedman into his extension but that's a formality at this point

Kind of want Ryu if he's reasonable. Dont see why the Dodgers wouldn't bring him back though.

It's all dependent on the money. Urias and May will not be making much and both are more than capable of sliding into the rotation

This. The Braves way needs to go. Snitker was a decent bridge out of the rebuild but Atlanta needs to shake things up a bit imo. They need a younger manager that isn’t an extension to the Bobby Cox days

Very curious if the Yankees bring back Gardner... OF with Stanton, Judge, Hicks, Frazier, Tauchman, and possible Maybin.
Yankees could possibly get him on another 1 year 10m deal but they do have cheaper options.

Yankees rotation is set for next year
Severino, Paxton, German (depends on what happens with his domesticate charge) Happ, and Montgomery.. Cessa and Loiasaga are also option plus Garcia
