It doesn't. But he doesn't really have much defensive value elsewhere (unless you value poor defense). It's just a really bad signing. I wouldn't trade the 11th pick in the draft for him straight up.

Unless their budget is a lot lower than last year, that just doesn't make sense. Or better yet, don't give a 5-11 pitcher with a 5.25 ERA in a pitcher's ballpark $10 million.

Don't really like getting 1 year of Davis for soler, especially with that forearm trouble. Often a precursor to TJ but obviously he checked out I guess

That's not happening. Aroldis seems like NYY or Miami bound with LA and Washington being other possibilities depending on Jansen
