Obviously the PF on 58 was a back breaker. But the 3rd & 3 call was atrocious.

17 left in the game, 3rd and 3 at your 35 and you call a play that was essentially a two man route and throw a 40 yard 50/50 ball that was picked. Just pick up the first down, move the chains and hold the ball.
Sure, it ended up being not much more than a punt but it was a pretty stupid play call nonetheless that gave the Chiefs the ball back and they ran 4 1/2 minutes off the clock. You only got one more possession after that and didn’t do anything with it.
I thought it was extremely head scratching why they would go for broke there.

Before halftime clock management was bad.
Their last possession was egregiously bad. 53 seconds left and they were called in bounds on a 2 yard gain on first and he called time out. He had the opportunity to ensure either Cinci gets a FG and wins or goes to OT. Instead they only ran 15 seconds off the clock over 3 downs.

Taking a shot on 2nd down was questionable but understandable. The 3rd down call was just terrible. Just move the chains. Maybe Taylor got greedy after the 4th and 1 shot worked out earlier.

It was a really dumb football play. I guess Taylor was trying to get cute thinking the Chiefs would sell out to stop the run/short pass. But the 50/50 ball deep is a pretty astounding call in that situation.
