Texas A&M had no chance, why would Cincy?

Did Texas A&M beat Notre Dame last year?

Oh come on. Cincy went into South Bend and won.

I agree.

No G5 in the playoffs.

Notre Dame is the reason Cincy is going. Notre Dame forces them to take Cincy

For Notre Dame to get in this is the only scenario:
-Georgia beats Bama by 2 plus scores
-OSU beats Michigan
-Oklahoma and Oklahoma State splits

Would help if Wisconsin winning out helps, and OSU losing the Big 10 title game would be massive too.

If Notre Dame gets in over Cincy, then the whole process needs to be scraped.

They’ll have to sneak past 11-2 Alabama first.

And that ain’t happening.

I feel this way already - the FCS model is there and proves a great champion at the end. It's beyond me why the NCAA wouldn't just go with a top 8 seed bye plus 16 team opening round. Nearly 200 FBS schools and 24 is hard to chose? GTFO. It'll end all of this controversy that's been around forever.

The real question would be does Bama deserve to get in for playing in the SEC and losing a conference championship vs the #1 seed. Or does Notre Dame deserve to get in by losing at home vs their only good opponent and not having to play in any conference championship?

Also can someone tell me what happens if Michigan and Alabama both win? You have Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Cincy, (Notre Dame out). Who gets the boot?

I don’t there’s any way they can justify putting Notre Dame over Cincy if they’re not already there. A 12-1 Oklahoma or Oklahoma State jumps Cincy, imo fwiw, though.

A&M has 3 loses not counting tonight’s 4th. So what would they have a chance to get in playoff. Drop the crack pipe!

So they take a one loss ND team over an undefeated Cinn. Might I add a Cinn team that beat ND. WOW!

Because the vast majority of P5 programs and many P5 fans don’t want any G5’s to get a piece of the CFP payout pie.

A&M was in reference to last season brah.

OP was saying if ND got picked over A&M last year the committee will surely take ND over Cincy seemingly forgetting that Cincy beat ND in South Bend this year.
