Not so fast Saban and Tua!
Posted by FootballNostradamus on 1/15/18 at 8:25 pm578
I think we all, myself included, had pretty much considered 2018 a foregone conclusion given what Bama did this year, but shite just got real.
All three of Clemson's All-American DL have elected to return instead of heading to the NFL.
Clemson will basically return this year's team and add the best freshman in the nation (TD Jesus Trev Lawrence).
If Dabo has the stones to sit Bryant and play Trev like Saban did, Bama v Clemson Part IV will be epic!

That had to have cost a lot.

Pfffft
Bro, Saban has bigger worries, like Steve Ensminger and running game coordinator Ed Orgeron.

So our offense will be better and your defense will be the same?

Are you implying that the 6-7 true freshmen on Alabama's offense won't improve as well?

Did you miss the part about us adding a QB prodigy who's the most hyped QB recruit since probably Andrew Luck?

Andrew Luck wasn't the top QB in the Class of 2008.

Lawrence may end up being an absolute stud, but to think he's going to be a starter for you next season isn't a good thing.

Part III was a pretty epic destruction of your entire team, fwiw. Figured that was a series finale.

If Tua had started the Sugar Bowl that 24-6 would've been 45-6

Damn Clemson paying good these days

It's also debatable whether Lawrence is even the most hyped QB prospect in this class. He and Justin Fields are essentially tied atop the board.

As fan of a team who almost lost to a team captained by a true freshman, only to see a highly-regarded true freshman come in and lead you to a comeback after replacing the experienced yet limited incumbent, I don't think Bama fans should be preaching about Lawrence starting being a bad thing.
This kid is the truth and would absolutely change what we can present compared to Bryant.

Lolololol at the UGA fans' claims about Fields.
Yal's class is filthy, absolutely filthy, but the attempt to put Fields in the same category as Trev is laughable.

He might be. I'm not denying he has talent.
