Not one thread on the fake TN foul at end of game??

The refs are 2-0 in the tourney so far, DUKE and Purdue move on.
I am getting real tired of this BS.
OH but he skimmed his knee after the ball was out of hands by 3 ft, oh please GTFOH. And I don't give a crap if Rick Barnes admitted it was a foul.
Don't give me that safety circle crap either. The shooter landed just fine and safe.

Head over to the rant...

I thought it was a crappy call, too. Especially to decide the game.

It was a foul. He clipped the leg on the way by and you can't hit a shooter in the air.
Whether you call the foul in that situation...a lot of times refs don't, but it was a foul, and I have no dog in this fight.

Their hips hit. Edwards just elevated so much and was so concerned with the shot he didn’t flop. I really wanted UT, and it sucks, but it was a foul to me. I think it could go either way, so I don’t think you can call it solely a fake foul.

DING DING DING.
poor call. Did the "foul" effect the shot? No, no it didn't. Then swallow your fricking whistle and try your best not to make yourself the center of attention.

IF you can't touch a shooter while in the air then officially every layup under neath ever should have been a foul because bodies are always touching in that specific situation. See, fouling in the act of shooting in bball is very subjective.
For the 10000000000000000 time, if if doesn't effect the shot then don't call it. Plain and simple. It's like holding on the other side of the feild...but now were gonna get that.

A foul is a foul. I wanted Tenn to win but that's clearly a foul.

It feels like injustice since that won't be called the same way next time.
I didn't care who won, no dog in the hunt but watching games all year it just seems that is not the spot to make that call. It's not called that way all the time and that's when folks get frustrated.

It was a foul. The game should be called the same for every second of it, you shouldn't let a foul go because it could "decide the game".
Fouling someone decided the game, not the ref doing his job.

He did not touch him. That was not a foul.
It was a bad call to save Purdue.

I am not asking the ref to change the rules. That isn't a foul plain and simple. GO back and watch the replay and show me where he contacts the shooters arm/hand. Please show me that video.

You don’t have to just hit a shooters arm or hand. You can get him with the body and it’s a foul. That’s exactly what happened in this situation.

I definitely thought it was a foul and I was pulling for UT.

I'm so happy Tennessee lost. The melt has been enjoyable so far.

If fouling is very subjective, I don't understand why you're mad.
You're correct that would be a ton of fouls if all contact was whistled. That means refs have to use some judgment, but just because you don't call all contact doesn't make this call invalid.
This wasn't a phantom call, there was clearly contact. Anything during the shooting motion is a shooting foul. I wouldn't be outraged if it wasn't whistled, but I'm not outraged it was. It was a foul by rule and the best TN could ask is to benefit from a judgment call.

WTF, 4 thumbs up, did your retards even watch the game, HIP TO HIP, LOL. Their bodies were no where even close to touching let alone hip to hip. I guess they don't have high definition TV in LA yet.

It was a foul... Turner's made hip to hip contact which is clearly a foul. Also the OB was not even close to Edwards knee, if you see the 2nd angle they showed the ball was at least 6 inches away from his leg.

Mind linking the play?
