So can you feel that immediately? When I played in high school a teammate fractured his arm and was literally laughing on the field
probably not. I snapped my arm in half growing up was super calm while everyone else was freaking out. Didn’t really feel anything until that night. It was kind of like being in a fog for a while

Could it just be a dislocated ankle? Is that a thing?

Yes. Dislocated foot really. I seent some. Even if it just dislocated though his season was over. Or should be. Those ligaments are stretched all to hell if not torn. His ankle will be the size of his thigh in the morning.

But it’s not career ending or anything requiring immediate surgery. They made it sound like it was some career ended online.

I don't know. I only watched the clip. His foot was definitely dislocated. Could be a dislocation with a fracture AND ruptured ligaments.

I hope he has a full recovery. Don't wish anything bad for him, but my dark humor side can't get the song "Footloose" out of my head.

i broke quite a few bones before and they dont really hurt much at all until the next day. what pain you feel is the meat and ligaments around it. if they arent shredded then its a quick pain that subsides like a stubbed toe.

the next day after the shock has worn off comes the throbbing constant pain as the meat around the bone is sensitive to the slightest touch.

its pretty weird but your bones have no nerves so they dont feel pain, its everything around it that hurts you
