There's a caveat to that. Yes, they're exempt from the expansion draft but they also don't get any of Seattle's entry fee.
Just back from a watch party downtown. Great game, disappointing but hardly surprising result. The Wild have have an insane record over VGK since they entered the league. Honestly, I'm more surprised that we got rain here today.
Now, let's see if the Panthers and Lightning can make it 4/4 with OT games. I can live with that.
