Canes on a different level than the Kraken. Beat them 4-1.

The Kraken are better than last year but looked like the Keystone Cops next to a team that can actually skate and pass.

Panthers on the board and probably should have at least another goal from a power play but refs have avoided calls until just now.

tCBJ up 3 on the Oilers.

McDavid played one shift and is out with a lower body injury after an obvious missed trip. Not malicious, but went uncalled.

His skate jammed into the boards

Casey Mittelstadt is on absolute fire

...and the Avs goaltending is still bad. Fourgiev already halfway to his GAA after 6 shots against the shitty Blackhawks

Georgie is broken. Might need a spell in the AHL, with Kakhonen coming up to be Annunen’s backup.

Caps off to a STRONG start. Loved the Roy and Chychrun pick ups in the offseason , but did not expect the offense to be rolling like this. They’re still missing a true 1C and another top 6 winger which would put them in the elite category, but this has been fun so far. Liking the goalie tandem too. So glad Kuemper was shipped off. PLD has looked good too so far. Carbs is the man.

3-0 Lightning over Avs 5 minutes into the game

They decided to start Kakkonen tonight first call up with the team
Can’t even eval him as the the defending is so tremendously bad all the goals are wide open

Abysmal

Avs played really well in 2nd and 3rd but Vasi was elite and the first 5 minute collapse did them in

Tonight down Drouin, Colton, Wood, and Lehkonen

Can’t even really assess Kakkonen first game as no goal was his fault but he looked decent after that initial shitshow.

This Avs season is cursed so far

Rookies and AHL players make up the majority of our forwards - Nate Mikko and Casey can’t do it on their own.

Thoroughly outplaying Nashville tonight on the road undermanned and still losing 3-1 bc Saros is robbing all the high danger chances

Justus played fine
We should also stop pulling the goalie - have scored only once and given up about 9 ENGs
