NBC's coverage of the Cowboys-Bucs game hit a five-year high in the overnights, source says. The 15.9 overnight is up 16% from last year.

Humans need some amount of pleasure.
The pandemic has denied most of their usual pleasure so they turn to whatever pleasure that happens to be on hand. A lot of them aren't healthy like eating and drinking. Notice how people have fattened up since the pandemic.
Anyway, don't be surprised to see people flock to old pleasures that return.

Once you hit bottom it is easy to look up.
But seriously, you had a better matchup of fan favorite teams.
Tampa Bay and Brady on one side and America’s Team the Cowboys. There is a reason why Cowboys always seem to end up either in a prime time slot or the coveted 3:30 slot. They can attract more eyeballs than usual despite being a 3rd or 4th place team with a shitty quarterback.

Super Bowl Champ and the MJ of the NFL takes on the most valuable franchise in any sport in the WORLD on the opening game of the season with no viewership competition…and they barely get highest ratings in FIVE years.
