Don't draft a QB Cleveland.
Realistically none of the top QB's are slam dunks. Are any better than what Nick Foles is now? Smarter move would be to draft for need at other positions and then after the draft, trade a future pick for Foles if he remains available. Bradley Chubb, Saquan Barkley, Quentin Nelson etc are higher rated players. And, as if the Browns didn't have enough high picks already, they will likely have the opportunity to obtain even more from teams seeking to move up to get one of these QB's.
Draft can't get here fast enough!
By the way I'm a Saints fan. We're drafting offense in round 1 IMO.

They will draft a QB like Josh Allen and he will be terrible in the NFL. Hell, he wasn't even that good at Wyoming

As much as I admire Mayfield he's still undersized and is a product of a Big 12 scheme where his surrounding talent was usually much better than the opponent.
Allen-big arm, weak competition. Not exceptionally productive. Rosen-numbers not remarkable, concussion history and his coach had some revealing comments not exactly glowing.
Darnold-inconsistent with turnover concerns.
Lamar Jackson-Mike Vick comparison, scored 13 on Wonderlic. Needs work on fundamentals.
Risky business investment with these unproven QB's.
Wait later and look at the next group, Rudolph, White, Etc.

Foles accomplishes nothing for them. They need a franchise QB.

They passed on risky QBs such as Carson Wentz, deshaun Watson, Jared Goff in recent years instead picking the bargain bin for DeShone Kizer, Kevin Hogan, and Cody Kessler.

Nick Foles is not a good QB.

He is serviceable and you a really good offensive mind can work with what he does.

Hugh Jackson cannot

I agree Foles is no superstar. But he has a track record so you know what you are getting. This year's QB's just seem underwhelming to me. I don't think I'd burn a top 15 number one on any them.

i dont get this logic at all. we havent had a sure thing since luck, but that doesnt mean that this draft doesnt have any promising prospects.

you are much better suited finding a qb through the draft and getting him on a rookie deal which will allow you to build your team up in other ways than going out and signing a free agent, or trading a future pick for a guy like foles on an expiring contract which you would then need to give an extension, which eats your cap space

If you don't take a QB and he becomes the next Aaron Rodgers...ouch

WCAg

There are sure things in this draft.
Allen. Consensus 10 year pro.
Chubb starter.

Do that.

There is too much pressure to guess the qb.

Instead buy a really good Fa qb in 2 years.
Such qb won't mind if everything else is in place.

It would be nice to see Cleveland become competive. There are teams in that division that need a little arse kicking

Draft Barkley #1, the highest rated offensive lineman #4, and Mason Rudolph #33.

I am not aware of any QB worthy of being drafted #1 overall. Barkley is the best player in the draft...take him an a lineman in the 1st round.

Use a 2nd round pick on the QB. Barkley is more of a guarantee than any QB in this draft.

If they don't take Barkley at 1...they will not get him at #4.

I'd bet money on that. I don't think Barkley goes top 3..
