It’s basically how lsu baseball was born (even though our basketball program at the time was booming)

LSU pulls local gymnastics talent more than any other school due to Elite Gymnastics being in BR
We also get a ton of Texas girls as well as the Texas schools don’t do gymnastics. That’s localish

This just isn't true. Not a single one of the current team members went to Elite. Yes, a bunch are from Texas and one La girlie trained at Dreams. But you find a ton of Texas girls on all the rosters because Texas has a lot of great gyms and a lot of really good gymnasts.
Every single NCAA roster I've looked at has at least 2 Texas girls. Every roster is ever so slightly regional. It's not more local or regional than football.
