Will stop their clock as they will not lose a redshirt year either. Essentially all players who opt out/don’t play will have 6 to play 4.

Awesome.

Now Ja'Marr Chase can come back next year if the SEC cancels.

Still good news for the non-NFL guys though.

SEC does not have jurisdiction on eligibility clocks.

That’s going to create a backlog of experienced players in the Pac12 and BIG.

Even more recruits will start looking elsewhere because those schools will have rosters full of players with 4, 5, and 6 years of experience.

Good, I hope they are perpetually behind in recruiting now

My brain can’t handle all the complexities and ramifications this could have on recruiting and roster management if the B10/P12 sit out the fall and the other 3 conferences go ahead.

Generally speaking, Who wins? ...Who loses? Those more familiar with Sholly limits and roster management hopefully can help us here.

Why wouldnt every player opt out to come back stronger for a more legit season next year? Full well knowing this one aint happening or could be canceled mid way.

Obviously the draft eligible money makers are gone.

That’s a really great question and I can’t wait to hear that answer from the head of the NCAA, if he ever bothers addressing the public anytime soon!! I would think that this would significantly hurt the pac12 and big10 in recruiting as you would have even more players fighting for playing time!

I hope not.

This can help mediocre programs like South Carolina in recruiting.

the Big timed it so players could not transfer.

Prelim thought:

Programs that have position gaps or can promise early playing time will benefit as big start recruits will see log jam in front of them

Not if they could be a high draft pick next year.

Can't wait for the first 27 year old redshirt senior who wasn't a former MLB prospect

Wonder if the Wisconsin AD will tell the seniors to just move on with their lives like he did to the spring sports
