According to DEADLINE Hollywood, ratings for NBC’s only weekly NFL game, were down a shocking 28%. Putting on the two teams with big national followings, SNF snared a 4.7 in early ratings among adults 18-49 and 14.81 million viewers last night. In numbers certain to change, that’s a fall of 28% in the ratings and a hard decline of 23% in sets of eyeballs from what the September 8, 2019 official start of SNF snagged in the early numbers of its opening game of last season. While the early Nielsen data lacks West Coast numbers, which is kind of important when you have a team from the mega-market of LA playing, this result is going to be hard pill for the NFL and NBC to swallow.

That’s kind of an important detail to leave out of a headline, no?

Someone’s lying. Didn’t the other thread say ratings were only down 3%? Is this presidential polling or something?

The ratings still may have crashed but posting the numbers without an entire region's viewing is really just proof that the article/numbers just served to rile up people who wanted the ratings to crash IMO.

OP is way late here. Including MNF, ratings are down about 9%

What is the motivation for the people desperate to show that the ratings aren’t bad and mock those that say the ratings will drop? Do these people want MORE politics in sports?

Exactly.

And that’s really all I’m saying here, to be clear.

It’s a disingenuous headline that’s the very definition of fake news, spread by an organization and side that claims to hate that shite.

A quick glance at twitter shows that it’s being retweeted by every blue check mark with an agenda.

Bunch of hypocrites I tell ya.

Seems like viewship is a mixed bag of up and down depending on where you look.

If overall the drop is only 5-10% then it isn't as much of a hit as the fed up crowd is making it out to be.
