He thinks his take is the common take.

Not too many examples of guys being so far off from reality than that. He has the minority take, obviously.

LOL. Two extremely ball dominant guys on the same team? Talk about the ultimate playoff goose egg team.

This take is definitely in the minority.

fwiw, you used this argument years ago against K Love not getting his teams to the playoffs.

Huge difference in not getting your team to a playoffs and losing a series where DeAndre freaking Jordan is your 2nd best player.

you make it seem like he isn't two time all NBA

Chris Paul obviously isn't why they are losing. They need a new coach primarily

When DeAndre Jordan is your 2nd best player, you're not a very good team. I'm confident in saying that we also saw it on the court.

The issue is him being a major scoring option on offense.

Agreed. But let's not act like he's not someone you can win with

It's not exactly a controversial take lol. When your 2nd best player averages like 7 shots per game and all 7 are created by someone else because he has zero ability to create his own shot, you're not going to be a dangerous team. Again, we just watched it play out.

Who is their 3rd best player in this series? Crawford? Redick? Just gross. Without Griffin, this was a very mediocre team.

You won't win anything notable if he's your 2nd best player, no chance.

His skillset is valuable, but not as the 2nd best dude on a team.

Here is the majority of posters on this board:

"I like *said player* because he is talented".

I never said he wasn't talented. He is, but being special involves more than talent... Mother of Mary some of you.

Top think this bloke is special takes a special kind of stupid majority, but I take it the majority is freaked beyond recognition so I understand.

Hero in a half "Shel" takes it all to another level.

This dude loves every player who couldn't beat my meat/your meat in any meaningful way. They can be stat stuffers like a stocking on Christmas. You will come back with stats peddling stats like it is crack.

For me, at the end of the day I want to win. I want to win ball-games and possibly championships. Make deep runs into the playoffs and not blow 3-1 series leads or lose 2 game 7's on my own floor. That isn't special.

You may not give a freak about my takes, or my views, but it doesn't change the fact that Paul is not special. He is talented, very talented, but he isn't special.

Paul has had years in LA to do something with a great front-court and a decent bench many years. He flopped historically against Houston and just faded his own squad in the 4th against Utah playing complete melt mode.

Shel's fall-back for supporting all these talented players and going to bat for losers is one player: Lebron James. That is his ace in the hole. If it weren't for James this con-artist would be every talented player who can't win shite's apologist.

On here your shite may fly backing all these players who will never win a damn thing, but in any other venue you would mocked to scorn. I've met your type at all venues and they are a minority view.

Paul, special. JHC.

Love people shitting on Paul when he nearly carried a vastly inferior team to a series win vs. a team playing really solid ball, getting clutch production from Joe Johnson and Rodney Hood early in the series. The fact that he got them this far is just a testament to Paul in this series. I'm not a huge fan, but he definitely brought me back around a little bit in this series seeing the angry, chippy CP3 instead of the non stop, All Whiny First Team NBA CP3.

ETA: early money for me right now on where Chris ends up is San Antonio, which sucks for everyone in the league frankly to add CP3 to an already 60 win team with the GOAT NBA coach, but it just makes too much sense.

How many championships do we win? Our bench will suck and probably be only slightly better than Washington's.

Paul should go join the Spurs. That's the only way he's ever winning a title.

he has a few million reasons to stay in LA but Paul would be flithy on the Spurs.

I am more interested in wear Griffen ends up and for what money. He'll be a max player but I am curious to what kind of years teams will be tossing his way.
