I don't get why...
Financially, it's stupid imho. He won't get paid close to that much in free agency.

Sounds like the Lakers are getting good feedback from some max contract guys and they really need to get that Deng contract off the books

Deng's contract was such a massive self inflicted wound for the Lakers.
Packaging it with picks work well if they land good FA's. Add LeBron and PG and any future first rounders are in the mid-high 20's.

i mean i doubt its the pitch. its just going to be a small part in the larger meeting. its cringe worthy, but as long as its not the central theme than im not getting too worked up over it
