Why is the NBA all star festivities hood central vs the Prow Bowl weekend coming across as blue collar family weekend? Same clientele, same demographics.

Pro bowl doesn't have a weekend or a demographic. Nobody cares except for having the game on tv in the background

Do you really think low level gangsters from the street can afford tickets to All Star Weekend in the NBA?

Maybe it is a bit of a different demographic, but it’s not a ‘ghetto’ event. The NBA is big within the hip-hop community, and that is largely made up of African Americans. The attire is expensive shite to appeal to various cultures. This is why there’s a damn camera on the walkway into the arena

People actually make it a point to watch All Star Weekend. Pro Bowl is something to cut on when theres nothing else on tv so it is there as you default football game.

All star weekend is not expensive. I paid $175 for Saturday Night in the past. Meanwhile, I paid $940 for the National Championship game which had more common Joe fans.

WTF are you talking about? Like 10 years ago or so, some of the ESPN guys (Wilbon, maybe?) started calling NBA All-Star Weekend "Black Thanksgiving."

Are you seriously comparing a cfb national championship game to a dunk contest?

NBA all star GAME tickets are no less than $745 right now

One of them is popular as hell among players and the other is dreaded.
