Murray St. is not to be outdone after LSU promotes its DL coach to head coach. Meet Velvet Milkman (not a typo), the interim AD at Murray St. Milkman served as women's golf coach at the school.

Likely more qualified for his job than Orgeron is for his.
In fact he’s probably more qualified for Orgeron’s job or Alleva’s job.

The name is interesting but small schools promoting a successful longtime coach to interim AD isn't abnormal.

Yeah, I know. I was more amused by the name than anything else.

reminds me of lyon college(naia) when they started football.

Hired a baseball coach that at one point was a scout for the giants.

Can you believe a school once hired their baseball coach as their AD?

I guess this is that one time in life when a guy really does hope that his kids look like the milkman...

Even if this was a permanent hire, the only notable thing here is the ridiculous name.

As it is, it's a freaking interim AD. Dumb thread.

In 25 years she's won 11 conference titles. That's a pretty damn good record as a coach.

Smart move
She’s a winner in golf, big boosters play golf. Easy way for her to network and get the athletic program more funds to improve athletics as a whole
