Most Mentally Tough Athletes of All Time

A friend and I started down a rabbit hole discussing the athletes through time that just had a “winning” mentality above all others. Just the sheer will to compete and win no matter what. All started with Tiger Woods. Anyway, I’m curious who else should be included? Current names that have been thrown out:
