He's saying white guys get the backup jobs, mostly because they have some prior relationship with the HC/OCs.

I agree. its very important to bring to light any little perceived slight that is ever made against white people. The war against the conservative straight white Christian male is real and needs to be talked about

Also a white boomer and most of the white guys I know who think this are either tail end Gen X or early millennials (many of whom are shocked to find out they’re millennials). Most boomers I know who are southern remember the days of segregation and recognize how wrong that was.

Aren't the reigning NFL MVP, Rookie of the Year and Super Bowl MVP (who was the 2018 MVP) all black QBs? There are legitimate gripes about coaching opportunities but not QB. That issue ending 25-30 years ago.

Playing devils advocate here, but it's that what you'd want in a backup qb? If someone is going to be a clip board holder, shouldn't it be someone familiar with the playbook and HC/OC's tendancies?
