Staples Center in Los Angeles, California

UFC 227 PPV Main Event:

135 lbs.: UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw vs. Cody Garbrandt

UFC 227 PPV Main Card (10 p.m. ET):

125 lbs.: UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson vs. Henry Cejudo
145 lbs.: Renato Moicano vs. Cub Swanson
115 lbs.: J.J. Aldrich vs. Polyana Viana
185 lbs.: Thiago Santos vs. Kevin Holland

UFC 227 Prelims on FX (8 p.m. ET):

135 lbs.: Pedro Munhoz vs. Brett Johns
135 lbs.: Ricky Simon vs. Montel Jackson
135 lbs.: Kyung Ho Kang vs. Ricardo Ramos
145 lbs.: Sheymon Moraes vs. Matt Sayles

UFC 227 Prelims on Fight Pass (6:30 p.m. ET):

125 lbs.: Alex Perez vs. Jose Torres
115 lbs.: Danielle Taylor vs. Weili Zhang
135 lbs.: Wuliji Buren vs. Marlon Vera

Speculation that, since Eddie Alvarez has now completed his contract, that he'll go back to Bellator.
Also rumors that DJ may want to go to Bellator and every other promotion and collect all of the Flyweight belts. Here's a quote from him:
"If I was to go out and collect all the belts, now that’s something that’s like, ‘Okay, I’ve proven that I’m the best,’” Johnson told MMA Junkie. “If I was to go to ONE Championship, win the flyweight division there. Go to RIZIN, win the flyweight division there. And then go to Bellator … win the belt there. Now this speaks volumes. For me to have every unique looking belt around the world, that’s what gets me excited if you really want to know. That’s where it’s like, ‘You have me interested now.’”
I suspect this is more of a play to get more money and increased promotion from the UFC.

Outside of the top 2 fights pretty weak card. Why is jj Aldrich on a main event?

Only fight I am really looking forward to is dillashaw garbrandt

I think it's because the Bethe Correira fight was scrubbed. She had an eye injury, had seen multiple docs in Brazil about it, got it fixed, got it cleared. But last week or earlier this week they announced she was off the card. Some confusion as to whether it was CSAC or UFC that made the decision. She's pissed about it. It does seem late in the game to be yanking a fighter for a medical issue that should have been reviewed and cleared some time ago.

I’m thinking about it as well but other than the main event the card is underwhelming

Also Diaz vs Porier confirmed for UFC 230 at nyc

What a shame that Dillashaw and DJ are fighting on the same card but not each other.

That special UFC press conference is about to start. We'll see what they announce.

So, they announce Poirier v Nate and of course Nate is late, or may not even show.

Also, in what seems to be a natural law, John Morgan from MMA Junkie is the first to ask a question.

Awww shite, Dana springing something on everyone at end of event.....
ETA - First question from John Morgan, he'd asked about Khabib v Conor, Dana told him 'we're working on it', then when Dana sprang the announcement he apologized to Morgan. LOL

I really don't get the Diaz poirier fight. I guess they really hope McGregor and Diaz win.

If they lose, they can match them up as well.

I relooked at the card
It doesn’t look terrible

I can’t wait to see bullet valentina
I look woodley
The other ladies fight on the ppv card will be good too

This card has great potential

227 looks like a decent card. I really don't know what DJ is going to do if he wins. He really has cleaned out the division.

Valentina looked pretty hot at the presser to announce her title fight with Nicco Montano. She can't take the fight lightly, but she should win, for sure.

I was surprised how much bigger Till looked, compared to Woodley. Both talked shite. I think Woodley has a chip on his shoulder and has gotten tired of people calling him out for not fighting in such a long time. I expect him to grab one of Till's kicks, and take it to the mat pretty quickly. For some reason I think this is a quick and dominant win for Woodley.

They announced Adesanya v Derek Brunson - and those two already hate each other. Already some good banter with them on twitter. Should have no problems hyping that fight.

Very weak. No way I’m paying $65 to watch a card with DJ and a couple unknown women on it.

It has TJ v Cody 2 as well. But the price and overall expense of PPV is out of hand. There's always about $10 added in "fees" and "taxes" by the cable company too.

If you bought all the PPV's each year and had Fight Pass, you're over $1000 for sure.
