I think the Astros are probably 1 year away from being legit WS contenders. I'm hoping Cubs can break the curse this year if Houston ain't involved cause I know damn well if anyone can break the 100+ year drought it's a Houston sports franchise

I can't wait to see the Yankees get more for Chapman this year than the Reds last year then see us not move Cozart or Bruce or get shite for them. FML. I could run this org better drunk.

I'm more worried about moving someone like Schwarber, Contreras, Almora or Soler for him. I don't want to unless we extend him immediately.

the deal is centered around Torres, none of those guys will be involved. Maybe Almora possibly, but he is a future 4th OF type

i dont think there is anyway. Montgomery + Wood+ Chapman makes him useless.
on another note, i remember a time last year where the Cubs like Eovaldi. I wonder if they try and pry him away as well

Exactly. Montgomery has had 1 rough outing with the Cubs. Richard has struggles to get guys out (especially lefties) all season.

Last thing I heard we were courting Cincy for DeSclafani and Cingrani.
Wouldn't be terrible as long as we don't give up Profar or Gallo. Wouldn't mind sedig Brinson and extending Desmond.
