Posting from mobile (and I'm way too lazy) so y'all don't get a good OP like the last few days

But games have already gotten underway. Rays lead NYY 1-0 early

Judge and Holliday have been shite since the break. Wonder how long of a leash Holliday has. You can't just keep putting up a .300 OPS if you provide absolutely no defensive value.

Judge's plate discipline has completely disappeared. He swings at fricking everything. Earlier in the year, he'd take everything early in the count that was a couple inches off the plate. Now, he swings at everything early in the count and gets behind in counts non stop.

It is terrible to watch.

He will obviously slow down but the ridiculous month he's had plus Judge struggling has made that race really interesting

From a perception standpoint it helps that Correa and Springer are out and the Astros are still winning and scoring runs. I didn't think any of the them stood a chance because they were on the same team and would take votes from each other

I see both sides to the injury argument, I've always thought you aren't very valuable to your team when you're not playing even if it's not your fault.

It mostly pissed me off when people would try to argue "Peyton is the MVP this year!!!1" when he missed the whole season and the Colts sucked

The trade changed the team. Wasn't sure that it would get them out of the slump but it did.
