I'll be in Minneapolis for games 2 and 3 of the Wild Card series they should be hosting... too bad there will almost certainy be no fans allowed.

MLB has proven they will cancel games over anyone on the team testing positive. They can't afford to do that in the playoffs.

Get everyone in an NBA-style bubble and that should lower the chances of positive tests significantly.

Just keep the fans away from the first couple rows of seating and they should have no impact on the bubble.

Yeah, but now fans, if they want to go, are going to have to travel, presumably stay at a hotel, go out to eat, etc.

ETA: Don't get me wrong, I think keeping all the playoff teams covid-free is a priority, but doing a bubble, and then allowing fans, is a bit contradictory.

This is an interesting concept using a set location.

Would be interesting if you were able to have fans.

They should have done it in Omaha.

This really isn't though. Depending on your seeding you could end up playing each round at a different location. I really don't think this helps at all. You actually create more travel.

Unless the series doesn't go the distance right?

And they would've had more time if they hadn't pussyfooted around forever and agreed to terms a lot faster instead of balking at having a season over and over.

Well there are still days off between series even if they don't go the distance.... just that the first rounds don't have any off days between for travel, since there will be no travel.

ETA: I feel like the biggest impact is on pitching, no more skating by with 2 or 3 SPs, teams are going to potentially need a full rotation.
