Leave them in Seattle. This is a we need to talk moment to the GM/Owner.

Gotta know your opponent. Not getting the first down was nearly a guaranteed loss vs. Russell Wilson.

I liked the call.
If you can't get half a yard when you've been gashing them the entire game, then you don't deserve to win.

I like the call versus most teams. Against Russell Wilson, I probably kick the field goal and guarantee at least overtime.

Well you need to be fired as well, a chance to go up 8 with 2 minutes to go. You kick 99.9% of the time. No defending this decision

Lmao what an idiot. Why not make them score on you twice and kick the field goal? The Vikings defense had done a pretty good job containing Russell Wilson the whole game

I didn't mind them going for it on 4th and inches, but run a QB sneak like they did earlier in the game. Keep it really simple since the OL won up front off the snap all night.
But some people lack basic common sense.

Plus you give Seattle good field position with a KO and all they need is a two-point conversion.
Everything said go for it.

The Vikings defense didn’t contain Russell Wilson in the second half. What game were you watching?

Should've kicked the FG
Or on 4th down the rb should not have run directly in to the back of his teammate...any attempt to go to the left or right results in a first..game over

So they kick the FG and go up 8
the 25?
No they would need to drive the field 75 yards and score then a 2 point conversion.
Odds starting to fall quite a bit.
Except the scoreboard, You are fired as well. Terrible decision.

Exactly. It was the right play call. The backup rb just didn’t make the play

Good decision to go for it, but bad play call.
The QB Sneak is one of the most underutilized plays in all of sports considering the success rate. Sneak the ball = win.

I was rooting for the Vikings, only because of Jefferson, until that dumb shite.
You don’t give the ball to a QB like Wilson with 2 minutes left and a chance to beat you. Kick the FG and force them to score 8 to tie at best. Charts be damned. As someone said above, know your opponent.
After that, I was pulling for the Seahawks.

Kicking the field goal gives Russell Wilson a chance to beat you. Converting the 4th & 1 was the only way the Vikings prevent Wilson from controlling the outcome of the game.

a chance, a lot smaller chance.

No sir kicking the FG, put huge odds in your favor to win. he needs 8 points now, not 6
Now not Converting which you left out of the discussion, that's what not only letting him control the outcome but win the game.

No no no.
Kicking the FG guarantees that Seattle stays in the game.
Minnesota needed one foot to win. Should have run a qb sneak.

Again,
Not converting guarantees Seattle wins.
I'd rather put pressure on the other team to "stay" in the game than to give them the upper hand to "win" the game.

Well no shite, they needed a TD in either scenario.
But would you rather end the game on a yard run? Or only have to stop them on a 2-point conversion?
So basically the reward is...get a yard and the game is over.
Vs. Kick the FG, give them good field position and all that's changed is that they need a fricking 2-point conversion after their TD.
So in this case, the game would've been tied if they make the 2 vs. the game would've been over if you make the 1st down.
I'm sorry but sealing the win vs. oh, no we make them have to go for 2 if we kick the FG is not a balanced trade-off.
