A lot of people don't realize the:

(a) extreme pride U of M grads have in their alma mater
(b) deep love the same have for Ann Arbor
(c) extraordinary success many of the grads have achieved.

Michigan belongs at the top, and it will find its way back there.

Not up on current events, huh?

People don't realize that Michigan has been recruiting very well. Once Borges is fired, they will compete for NCs out of the weak Big Ten.

Cool. Still won't be able to recruit with Bama, LSU or, most importantly, Ohio State.

Yeah, you better go check the recruiting rankings the last 2 years.

I enjoyed the reaction from some LSU fans when it was apparent that Peppers was going to Michigan.

Anyone with sense (so that obviously excludes BAMA fans), knew he wasn't going to LSU.

Same goes for Adoree.

But at the same time, posters on the RecB tend to follow twitter religiously and believe every word of it, so I can see where you're coming from.

Hey Steve...Dolphins fan here.

Why don't you use some of that crazy discretionary spending on, you know...funding that stadium upgrade you were so adamant about.

His exact words were, "The Dolphins cannot afford it."

Cause he knows that the city will upgrade the stadium if he saber rattles some more. Giving money to Michigan is tax deductible, upgrading a stadium isnt.

No, after the Marlins stadium and what became of it, the city is shutting down public funding for sports facilities.

Until he says they are looking at sites in LA.

In about 20 years this campus is going to be University of Michigan - Ross Campus of Ann Arbor.

That's what I was thinking. They're running out of buildings and departments to name after him so the next 100 million dollar check gets him the entire campus name.

He's already issued ultimatums, none of which have gotten him anywhere.

I wonder if Les Miles will have to have his diploma changed to the Stephen M. Ross University at some point in the near future?

He doesnt need to issue ultimatums, he needs to start talking with people in LA. I promise you the city of Miami will pony up and do whatever he wants before they lose the Dolphins.

A few more years of Miami being skipped in the Super Bowl rotation and a slight adjustment of the numbers (Ross paying more, Florida paying less) will change that equation.

No. They're calling his bluff. Loria did the same to the City Commission, they caved, and now there's under SEC investigation. People here aren't going to stand for it.

That would never, ever happen. He'd sell the team before even consider moving to LA.

Marlins arent the same as the Phins. It was a huge mistake for them to build a new baseball stadium, but they arent going to let him take the only franchise the city really cares about.
