Agreed, but he got fired because of his abysmal record against Jim Tressel.

I think I read that when things fell apart at the end of the good '06 season, Carr wanted to go. The AD convinced him to give it one more run with a senior-laden class, but nobody's heart was in it, which led to things like App State loss. Lloyd was mailing it in and there were all kinds of rumors about his health, like Parkinson's.

Mailing it in.

That's why you ended up with Rich Rod and Brady Hoke.

What has Michigan really done since they split a title in 1997?

They've shared or won the Big10 Title 5 times and were a votes away from playing for the National Title in 2006.

Funny how ESPN convinced the voters you can't have a rematch because they already played to get their partner in the Champ game - SEC - but then when it was the SEC's turn for a rematch all they did was pimp it for a week on their network...saying it doesn't matter that they already played.

Sports are so honest. MNC will and always be MNC.

Lloyd Carr sorta reminds me of the les miles situation

I always wanted to hear the reason from Carr's mouth why he hates Miles. We have all heard the rumors.

If Karan Higdon leads the nation(or is at least very close) in rush attempts we will have a great season. End is story.

How ironic would it be for Shea Patterson, formerly of Ole Miss, playing against Joe Burrow, formerly of Ohio State, in the playoffs?

Both qbs playing their former rivals for all the marbles.

His dad Jack gave a great talk before the bowl game.

That boxing story was really good. You can see where Jim gets the quirkiness from. I think Pep Hamilton is my favorite guy featured. He is so chill. Also seemed like he was the primary playcaller.

Maybe it’s not the ability level of the OL; maybe it’s just hard for them to do their jobs if the playcalling is predictable? I have no idea but I do know LSU has had this problem before. An OL with talent but trying to block 10 in the box who all knew where we were going.

What is the Michigan offense going to look like in 2018? Pro, spread, a hybrid?

I think that they, and all of the Big Ten, need to start worrying about Nebraska.
I've a feeling those Children of the Corn frickers are about to start being really, really good again.

I think Shea is going to make a big difference in their offense. Top 10 team this year, imo.

Even funnier is that the 5 most controversial inclusions in the BCS/Playoff era are 6-1 in the post season
Bama Twice 3-0
LSU-1-0
Ohio State Twice-2-1

I watched the All or Nothing Doc...and it's crazy how undisciplined Michigan is...they lost most of their games the last 3 years but idiotic mistakes in crunchtime.

They were whipping South Carolina in the Outback Bowl and then fumble twice inside their own 20 yard line to give South Carolina two easy Tds and then throw a pick at the end to lose it in the endzone.

Harbaugh had Luck and an extremely sound and disciplined team at Stanford that NEVER beat themselves...they just wore you down with perfect execution.

Michigan can't execute jack shite and can't find a QB.

I guess this ends any debate that Michigan is just as Top class a University as Stanford and only accepts really smart guys. Because Harbaugh sure can't recreate the intelligence and discipline he had on those Stanford teams.

I wouldn’t base Michigan’s academic prestige as a university on the intelligence of its football players
