Former first-round pick Minkah Fitzpatrick has received permission from the Miami Dolphins to seek a trade, according to multiple league sources.

quote:

Fitzpatrick, who was projected as a cornerback/safety out of Alabama, played three or four different positions against Baltimore. He has been uncomfortable with his constantly fluctuating role on the Dolphins' defense throughout the offseason.

quote:

A personnel man for one team had praise for Fitzpatrick as the "ideal slot corner who can cover, blitz off the edge, [is] intelligent, a good tackler and a good special teams player,"

Possible historically bad team on our hands.

At this rate, they are going to be offering contracts to people in the stands.

But on the bright side, they may have 20 first round picks next year.

I mean, it not a terrible strategy if you’re “tanking for Tua”. Just stockpile a shitload of picks and rebuild the roster for the next 3 or 4 years.

At the very least, it will be entertaining.

Tua is not going to be a good nfl qb. I do not understand the hype.

What’s tipping you off that not a single NFL scout has been smart enough to notice?

Tua may end up being a successful NFL starter, but I wouldn't base this on what NFL scouts currently think of him. These are the same scouts who thought Jamarcus Russell was worth the #1 pick as well as the same scouts who thought Ryan Leaf was worth a #2 pick.

Dolphins have no idea how to tank. You don’t have to sell short on all your young talented players to accumulate draft capital

You’re not going to trust a scouting report ever again because they’ve been wrong before?

Seems like a bit of an overreaction.

Russell and Leaf had all the arm talent you could ever want in a qb. What a scout could not tell, is that those two were total head cases and extremely immature.

The scouts evaluation of talent was correct.

not trusting a scouting report on one player =/= never trusting a scouting report again
