It’s pretty clear what happened. Smith is Earl Bruce’s grandson. Urban has always said Bruce was like another father figure to him.
Urban was conflicted to ruin the career of one of Bruce’s family members. It’s also disappointing to hear Bruce personally tried to convince the ex-wife to not press charges in 2009.
Pretty stupid decision by Urban and should probably warrant being fired. It would be a definite firing in my book if he personally persuaded the ex-wife to stay quiet.
