Who is going to stop Luka in this series? Dort is probably the best Luka defender and he ain't walking through that door for Minny.

I blame ant man for this loss. Did not look for his shot at all under 2 minutes

Minnesota is cooked, couldn’t win a home game with Dallas’ worst three point shooting night of the entire season. They were dominated in every other way.

This has gentleman’s sweep written all over it

Luka and Kyrie outplay Ant and KAT. Minnesota supporting cast went crazy and was almost enough. Whew. What a game...I'm exhausted

The Mavs have the best player left in the playoffs, and another player who can be better than any other teams best player on any given night. They should win it this year.

Lethal 1 - 2 punch!

Kyrie goes off for 24 points 1st half
then ....
Luka took control scoring 15 in the 4th qtr; finishing with 33

Bigs Gafford and Washington are key vs Towns and Gobert

I blame KAT.

Dude is horrible.

How do you go 6-20 from the field as a Center? In the WCF of all times to do it

Dude jacking up 9 threes is crazy

Honestly I think you can live with Luka getting his 30-35 a game because frankly I don’t think you have a choice.

But minny didn’t seem to bother Kyrie nearly as much as OKC did. They have to contain Kyrie or they will see the exit real quick.

I don’t know if it’s having kids or getting out of Brooklyn and into the South, but Kyrie has done a 180 as far as douchiness goes

Actually I retract a little. OKC held Luka to 25 ppg and lost every game he exceed that average.

That is terrific containing Luka (his three straight triple doubles to close out notwithstanding).

Mavs:

Luka 33pts, 6reb, 8ast
Kyrie 30pts, 5reb, 4ast
-------------------------------
Combined 63pts, 11reb, 12ast

Washington 13pts, 7reb, 0ast
Gafford 10pts, 9reb, 0ast
Lively 9pts, 11reb, 3ast
Jones Jr 8pts, 4reb, 2ast
Green 3pts, 1reb, 0ast
Hardy 2pts, 1reb, 4ast
Hardaway 0pts, 4reb, 0ast
Exum 0pts, 0reb, 0ast
------------------------------
Combined 45pts, 37reb, 9ast

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TWolves:

Edwards 19pts, 11reb, 8ast
Towns 16pts, 7reb, 2ast
-------------------------------
Combined 35pts, 18reb, 10ast

McDaniels 24pts, 4reb, 3ast
Reid 15pts, 5reb, 2ast
Gobert 12pts, 7reb, 1ast
Anderson 11pts, 2reb, 2ast
Conley 6pts, 3reb, 3ast
A Walker 2pts, 1reb, 2ast
-------------------------------
Combined 70pts, 22reb, 13ast

Minnesota's supporting cast was incredible. They made more 3s than they have all year for the most part...Bench points were 28-14 for MIN. Role player points 70-45 for MIN.

Edwards was only 1/4 from inside the 3point line, and I remember 2 of those were midrange jumpers in the first quarter (one make one miss). After the first quarter he only attacked the basket 2 times the rest of the year??? He better come out and be something special next few games because he's already been crowned as the next Jordan/Kobe by ESPN and anybody who talks NBA. He shot well from 3 but that was about it.

Luka and Ky effectively swapped roles. Ky kept the Mavs alive in the first half and then only had 6 in the 2nd half. Luka fought and struggled some for the first half, but was dominant in the 4th quarter. Scary thing is neither of them played their best game.

Dallas role players were not very good. Lively and Gafford combined for 19/20 which is pretty good, but the rest didn't score like they should. PJ was only 2/8 from 3, 13 points total. Jones 4/9 shooting, made no 3s, only 8 points. Hardaway/Exum/Green/Hardy, who I usually just combine into one player and pray they are able to combine for something decent, were just 2/6 shooting, 5pts, 6reb, 4ast in 35 minutes. So outside of Luka, Ky, and the 2 centers, they were pretty ineffective and still managed to pull out a win. I'll take it.

Kyrie has always been like that. He just likes to give outlandish opinions for some reason.

There’s videos of him out of college exactly like that.

Dort did about as well as you could do to contain him. You basically need a really athletic linebacker to defend Luka and wear him down and that is Dort.
