Change my mind....
Only team with 1 loss
Best winning percentage in baseball
About to sweep the 2nd place AL East Club
+8 run differential
3.06 team ERA (5th best in baseball)
.738 OPS (7th best in baseball)

I am ready for World Series round 3 and they wont have a single asterisk next to a single one like a couple of other franchises.

They had one of the best scouting departments in the league at one time. Not sure if it's still the case or how it was impacted by the takeover of Jeter's group.
Their outfield from ~2014 to 2017 consisted of Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich, and Marcell Ozuna, all of whom were home grown.

Actually they have a fantastic young team that is about 2 years away from being a WC team. Atlanta will own that division but the Marlins should make some noise

Lolololol they're not even the best in the NL

Cubs had several chances to win that series after Bartman. Can’t even guarantee Alou makes the catch without him.

Would be so fricking epic to see the Marlins win a third WS
Would be legit to have Marlins Man as the only fan in the stadium

Cool so you believe the Yankees and Indians are the best in baseball since they are first in those categories....
Marlins best record and best winning percentage, Cubs can be second best in the NL and lose to the Marlins again for a trip to the World Series

I didn't give an opinion on who's best. I understand this is a tongue-in-cheek thread, but I thought it was funny that you were making an argument for a team to be best in baseball and used stats that show they are 5th and 7th best respectively.

I mean, give me the last team that had the best record, led in OPS, and in ERA. Figured cumulatively you would understand they were the best, guess I was wrong.
.857 winning percentage, no team is even close to them

Hopefully they can buttfrick the Yankees again in the World Series.

Cubs let up how many runs in that inning after that play? Yea, thats what I thought
[here's a hint, the score was 3-0 cubs when that play occurred and it was 8-3 at end of inning - don't blame Bartman]
