UK has not seen a team with the discipline and patience of Loyola. The Ramblers are the anti-SEC team that actually runs a set and not just a high ball screen and motion.

absolutely, the purest basketball team I've watched in years. Just shows the little separation that exist between the mid major's and power five, especially since the adoption of one and done

pure-without any extraneous and unnecessary elements.
Loyola plays basketball like Dr. Naismith and Phog Allen designed it to be.

This is what can happen when you meet up with teams who have castoffs from other programs and/or players who are not freshman.

They will not beat UK.

Of course I said that about Tennessee and Nevada, but I'm going to be right eventually.

ETA: if it's UK. I could see them beating K State

Not going out on a limb. It would be an 11 beating at 5 or 9

Weber is pretty mediocre. Wouldn't surprise me.

Loyola is not going to hit their first 13 shots of 2nd half next game.

they literally had everything go their way and still had to hold on for a 1 pt win.

they done

Most of those 13 shots were layups due to superior ball movement and spacing. The Loyola coach changed their gameplan 10 minutes into the first half by permanently replacing Krutwig with Jackson. That move opened the lane and forced Nevada to waste a lot of energy chasing players through screens and backdoor cuts.

Loyola has already faced two of the more athletic teams in this tournament in Tennessee and Nevada. They have the potential to beat anyone.
