The only positive is that you can watch the full Sweet 16 over the weekend, and then the Elite 8 games should be on Monday/Tuesday night. Having the first and second rounds starting on a Friday and ending on a Monday will feel wrong.

The Sweet 16 will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, with each of the eight games getting its own television window. In the past, regional semifinal games took place in prime time, with a pair of games overlapping each other in the early evening and late evening sessions. In 2021, all Sweet 16 games will be played at separate times.
Having each Sweet 16 game with its own time slot is awesome. The Elite will be on a Monday and Tuesday, but you can start them at 6:15 and 8:30 eastern time, and everyone will be off of work still in time to watch.
Hopefully that is a permanent change.
