Man! I hate it that this incredible spring footballs almost over

If you didnt realize,the title is sarcasm. I refuse to do the little, capatilize every other letter to convey sarcasm,thing. I just heard that tomorrow is the nwstrn state demons last game of the season. I guess they will get some time off and then start "summer training camp " type practice.

FCS is still D1 scholarship athletes. Many driven and competitive. Some hoping to get looked at by NFL scouts. They wanted to play some sort of season.

Im glad they got to play but I didn't watch one snap. Seems like spring football just ain't it. Every chance at it the last couple of years, college and professional, has failed miserably

You need to get a life. What an unnecessarily douchebag post. No one forced you to watch or care.
As an SLU alum and fan, I was very glad I got to see them play football, even if only 7 games. It benefitted getting real reps in, implementing scheme, and getting young guys experience before a full season in the fall, and no one lost a year of eligibility.

I get it. I thought I would stream some Nicholls games to watch like I had in the past, and especially since it wouldn't conflict with watching any FBS games of interest.
But college baseball season started not long after, and since I like watching that sport as well, opted for that instead.
But it's not like there was much of a choice after FCS conferences were cancelling the Fall season, and it's good players got a Spring season in. I'd feel bad for athletes who were graduating and ready to move on to the professional workforce if they didn't get a final season.

At least they are all safer after the massive Covid outbreaks and multiple deaths due to the dumb schools who played in the fall

A couple of conferences, and sometimes not even the whole conference, was doing it since they didn't play in the fall. This fall everything is back to normal.

I don’t disagree that from a business standpoint, spring football doesn’t seem to work.
However, as a fan, I cannot fathom why anyone would complain about it. It’s football on the TV, you can choose to watch it or not. Beats the alternative of not even having the option to watch any

They are, but it’s a scaled-down field of 16 vs the normal 24. And, for some stupid reason, the NCAA was going to give the MEAC an auto-bid with only 3 teams competing this spring....but the MEAC informed the NCAA they wouldn’t meet the requirement that each of the teams play each other once. The Howard/SC State game was called off due to restrictions put in place by the District of Columbia regarding travel to and from South Carolina.
