If you haven't seen a NOLA Gold match yet you should try to make a game this season

Major League Rugby will be broadcast on three national television networks in the USA this season. Having seen positive numbers on CBS Sports Network in each of its first two seasons, the league will add weekly matches on Fox Sports 2 and ESPN News for 2020.

The broadcast schedule has now been finalised and its official release imminent. New commissioner George Killebrew revealed that Fox and ESPN would be showing games at a press conference in New Orleans last month, with the channel lineup confirmed to ARN by multiple sources.

Also to be unmasked is the Canadian broadcast partner specifically for Toronto Arrows matches. Game TV provided coverage north of the border in 2019. International viewers should continue to enjoy full coverage via Facebook with Canadians able to access all non-Arrows games.

This season will be of particular importance to MLR’s broadcast aspirations. The league is keen to move its games under one umbrella and strong numbers could see one of the three networks stepping up in 2021 with productions costs currently carried by MLR likely to drop significantly if not entirely.

Other existing broadcasting deals to be clarified soon include streaming coverage by ESPN+ and RugbyPass. The latter became a ‘digital partner’ in May to provide select games and highlights to international viewers. Games will also be available on various local channels.

Great news. Hope to see Rugby grow. Fun sport to play and watch

Definitely need to get to a game this year.

Also, didn’t NOLA move to Zephyr Stadium?

Edit: looked at their website. Games are at “Shrine on Airline”.

Yes, moved from Shaw's campus on the Westbank to the Airline location.

Hoping this leads to more viewers and continued success for the squad.

This is great news. I remember watching some big matches in HD from Australia when I was in New Zealand about 8 years ago.

The presentation was unreal. Would show how much was gained/lost on each possession. Super fun to watch on TV.

Most the games are available on ESPN+ too. Or at least they were last season.

More exposure is definitely good my only concern is I hope the league isn't expanding too quickly. I know they are talking about adding even more teams but they shouldn't go beyond 15 teams at this point.

It's a fun league to watch cause even though it's professional it's still in its infancy so they players have the heart and spirit of amateurs.

They're starting to attract more veteran players from Europe and since Rugby isn't as big money as Soccer is it wouldn't take much more money here before the MLR could actually start competing for younger talent.
