A couple weeks ago I asked if Mahomes is good or is it the offense because I never watched him play for more than 5 minutes. KC has the athletes but Mahomes is a stud. Hats off to him

Mahomes isn’t asked to throw into tight windows but he’s very effective in this offense. Andy Reid’s best offense yet.

Puts it on receivers like Favre. Not sure to compare him as a runner, because I don’t know if I’ve seen this ability on the move before.

And you're right in reality that it'll be a tight race as of now, but IMO it shouldn't be, and this game proves it. Mahomes will put up the sexier stats, more passing yards, more TDs than Brees usually throws for. But the turnovers are what set the 2 apart, Mahomes doesn't just have 2, 1 went back for a TD. That's huge and discounts a good amount of the yards/TDs he throws for. Brees doesn't do that, just has not done that this season.
