"The Troy loss galvanized this team!" Why did they need to lose to Troy? The fire should have been there especially after State.

I don't think it galvanized the team per say, but I think it may have been a valuable lesson for the 20+ freshmen playing that nobody gives a frick that you play for lsu.

I will say it's been nice to have a young team continue to improve and play with some intensity since that game. Even seem to have avoided the post Bama loss sleepwalking.

The Saints are on this streak mainly b/c their D has played well and are wearing teams down controlling the clock by runnng.

So this is a bad thing now? That's generally the blueprint for a pretty dominant team.

It’s not a bad thing but they are able to do this b/c they are playing terrible offenses. D is getting off the field quick and keeping the ball in the hands of the offense and wearing down a D. What’s going to happen when they play teams that can move the ball. The D is going to be exposed.

Even if the defense allows more drives against better offenses that running game is still killer which will allow the defense to rest as well. They also can throw it a little bit if they need to

They've actually played the hardest schedule amongst the NFC leaders so you could really say that everyone is a pretender right now

They've just been playing the shittiest teams in the SEC.

Auburn is one of the shittiest teams in the SEC?

So fluke when we beat a good team because it doesn't fit your narrative? Got it. You're a fricking moron.

Both teams are "turning it around" against weak competition.

I know you can only play who is scheduled, but LSU has beaten ONE bowl eligible team this year.

The Saints are in the weaker part of their schedule now.

Hope both can win out, of course, but just pointing this out.

Lol LSU has won against teams that have a combined 36 - 52 record (0.409) and has lost against teams with a 27 - 5 record (0.844). This is not a good LSU team. They are just lucky to be playing against some of the worst SEC and out of conference teams in recent history; and winning against these shite teams is supposed to be some sort of turnaround?

And yes, the Auburn game is a huge fluke. Without that lucky arse punt return, LSU would not have a win against a team with a winning record. Like I said, this is not a good LSU team. Talk to me when LSU beats Bama and then we can have a discussion about a turnaround.

I don’t believe many are saying LSU are world beaters but they are solid and play hard which is all I could have asked for after the losses to MSU and Troy. We went from wondering where the next win would come from to winning 5 of the next 6 games.
